We just wrapped up this virgin Mary tattoo on Sam. He sat like a champ despite what people may think, getting tattooed sober is really the best way to do it. Sooo many people think that drinking, taking pills etc will help them deal with the pain. Same is a true champ and proof that it doesn’t help. Despite what some of his wimpy friends might think sam sat and had this tattoo completed in 4 sessions around 3 hours at a time. Parts of it runs down his stomach, his collar bone, sternum, nipples. All the usual suspects that are considered very painful areas to be tattooed. He did the whole think without complaining, winning or crying. So for that I say thank you Sam for be a bullet proof super star client to tattoo.

This cover up was a fun and challenging tattoo. Terrance wanted me to put a Korean Samurai, different from a Japanese Samurai to be tattoo on his arm riding a horse. He also wanted to include the Korean national flower and the Korean flag. We covered up an old cross and I think a comedy tragedy mask or something on his chest.

I am so glad to finally have a healed photo of this tattoo. I finished this Native American and Owl about a year ago. I’ve been meaning to get healed photos of it and finally had a chance. Will came in today to set up appointments for a new biomechanical tattoo that we’ll be starting in a few months. Of coarse I took the opportunity to snag a few photos before left. Today, I am excited to post it as well as start a new project.

GOOD MORNING SAN DIEGO!!!
This is an older tattoo I did a couple years ago. I thought I would post it to my blog to show case some fun biomechancical tattoos. It’s one of my favorite styles to tattoo in. I did this on Robert originally as just an inner arm tattoo, he later decided to go with the rest of his outer arm. This was one of the first of many “golden” looking tattoos that I did that year. It seamed for a good while I was doing this color scheme a lot. I don’t get the request as often any more, but it certainly do enjoy it when I do.

I’ve had a lot of fun tattooing a good bit of black and grey tattoos lately. I’ve gotten a little closer to finishing AJ’s four horsemen tattoo. There’s two more horsemen on his innger arm that I’ll post after the tattoo is complete. I’ve always enjoyed black and grey tattooing and I hope to do a lot more of it in the future. The last few years I’ve had an enormous amount of request for color work and I always enjoy that approach as well and often clients even ask me if I do black and grey. My answer is always the same, it’s not that I don’t do it, I just don’t often get asked to do it. Which is sort of funny, because the first three years of my tattooin it seamed
